A Thorough, Neuroaffirming Assessment
Our adult ADHD assessment looks at your background, your current day-to-day experiences, and other factors that affect your mental and physical wellbeing. We use standard ADHD assessment tools alongside a review of executive functioning · planning, organisation, and focus · and we screen for commonly co-occurring conditions. The specific tools used may vary from person to person, and as available resources are updated.
You do not need a referral to book. Please note that assessments are not covered by a Medicare rebate.
What We Assess
Background and History
Your developmental history and how experiences have shown up across your life.
Executive Functioning
Planning, organisation, and focus, reviewed alongside standardised measures.
Co-Occurring Factors
Screening for commonly co-occurring conditions that affect wellbeing.
The Process
Triage Call
15–20 minutes, to check the assessment is a good fit.
Initial Interview
A conversation about your background and experiences.
Assessment
A clinical interview using standardised tools.
Feedback + Report
Results explained, plus your written report.
Tools We May Use
Specific tools vary based on the individual and updates to available resources.
DIVA · Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults
A structured clinical interview covering ADHD traits across childhood and adulthood.
Conners 4 or CAARS · Self-Report Questionnaires
Standardised questionnaires capturing ADHD-related traits and experiences.
CEFI · Comprehensive Executive Function Inventory
A measure of executive functioning, including planning, organisation, and focus.
Your Report
Following your feedback session, you'll receive a written diagnostic report explaining your results, what they mean, and the diagnostic outcome. It's suitable to share with a GP or psychiatrist, or to use in accessing support at university or in the workplace.
A Formal ADHD Assessment vs. a Free Online Test
Free online ADHD screeners (like the ASRS) can be a reasonable starting point, but they can't do what a formal assessment does.
| Free Online Test | Our ADHD Assessment | |
|---|---|---|
| Conducted by | An anonymous online algorithm | An AHPRA-registered psychologist |
| Looks at executive functioning | No | Yes, using a dedicated measure (CEFI) |
| Screens for co-occurring conditions | No | Yes |
| Diagnostic outcome | Not a diagnosis | A formal diagnostic outcome |
| Written report | No | Yes, shareable with a GP, psychiatrist, university, or workplace |
| Cost | Free | $1,250 total, free triage call first |
A free screener can help you decide whether to look further. A formal assessment is what gives you a definitive answer and a report you can actually use.
Pricing
One total price, covering everything from your first interview to your written report.
Total, all inclusive
No obligation after your free triage call. There's no cost and no pressure if a full assessment isn't the right fit.
