How It Works

01 · Free, 15–20 min

Call

A phone call with a psychologist to talk through your situation and confirm the assessment is a good fit. If it is, they'll schedule your assessment sessions in for you.

02 · 1–1.5 hours

Initial Interview

A session to gather your background, history, and understand the concerns prompting the assessment, conducted with you directly by Zoom.

03 · 1–2 hours

Assessment Session

A structured clinical interview exploring how difficulties show up across work or study, relationships, and home, using standardised tools alongside the conversation. Held by Zoom.

04 · 1 hour

Feedback and Report

Your psychologist explains whether the criteria are met, discusses recommendations, and provides your written report. Held by Zoom.

Depending on wait times, most people receive their feedback session and written report within 3–6 weeks of their initial interview.

Who We Assess

Our assessments are for adults aged 18 and over. You're welcome to refer yourself · no GP referral is required.

Adults come to us for many reasons: some have wondered about ADHD or autism for years and are ready for clarity, some were missed earlier in life, and some are seeking a written report to access support at university or work. Wherever you're starting from, our psychologists meet you with a respectful, strengths-based approach.

A Formal Assessment vs. a Free Online Test

Free online screeners can be a reasonable starting point, but they're not the same thing as a formal assessment. Here's the difference.

Free Online Quiz Our Assessment
Conducted by Free Online QuizAn anonymous online algorithm Our AssessmentAn AHPRA-registered psychologist
Stands behind the result Free Online QuizNo one · just an algorithm Our AssessmentA registered psychologist, accountable for their professional opinion
Personalised to you Free Online QuizNot personalised Our AssessmentInformed by your history and current experiences
Diagnostic outcome Free Online QuizNot a diagnosis Our AssessmentA formal diagnostic outcome
Screens for co-occurring conditions Free Online QuizNo Our AssessmentYes
Written report Free Online QuizNo Our AssessmentYes, shareable with a GP, psychiatrist, university, or workplace
Accepted for workplace or study support Free Online QuizRarely accepted Our AssessmentYes
Cost Free Online QuizFree, but doesn't answer anything for certain Our Assessment$1,250–$1,520 total, free call first

A free quiz can spark curiosity, but it can't give you a diagnosis, a report you can actually use, or the judgement of a registered psychologist. If you're ready to properly find out, that's what a formal assessment is for.
